where does the soul live?
lots of people speculate that the soul lives in the back behind the belly button or is it something that cannot be ever taken out? I think humans, might think they know something but only divine things are aware -- why would a divine creature that said thy shall not kill allow someone to get away with trickery? Do you think you can trick the gods? If a human is born dis-formed with the parts we claim the soul lives in, does this mean they are soul-less? I think it might be a game that divine things are using to nail your own coffin, torturing someone might be something you are doing, but maybe you want to be found guilty for such a thing later on?

Re: where does the soul live?
Not one specific organ, but if anything, it’s the brain. Ever since the dawn of time, humans have removed organs and undergone surgery. Chances are you are using more than 2 percent of your brain, yet it still affects you profoundly. Everything the brain is could be considered the "soul." Getting a heart transplant does not steal a soul, but a full brain transplant has not yet been done. Egyptians used to remove the brain first and yank it out after death.
The whole stigma surrounding the heart—its weight, its significance—is rooted in ancient religions. They spoke of having a "kind" heart or being "cold-hearted." Even if one suggested that the soul resided in DNA, and you were exposed to a nuclear accident that destroyed your DNA, you would still retain your soul.
Do not be fooled: we use only a small fraction of the human brain in daily functioning. Ancient civilizations knew something that allowed them to build massive structures without calculators. Abrahamic religions advise against modifying the body—not because you would lose your soul. If that were the case, they would have said so clearly in the Ten Commandments: “Do not kill; do not remove people’s souls.” Killing equals losing a soul, but if you are alive, you have a soul. Removing or modifying the body does not remove it, and it would be worse than murder.
Doctors today do not fully understand how the brain functions or why we use only a fraction of our minds. Perhaps we are not as advanced as aliens. I am not saying you cannot affect someone via the mind. I saw a documentary suggesting that aliens, if they exist, communicated with people at Area 51 via telekinesis—even teaching humans the same techniques to transmit information. They allegedly taught something like remote viewing. I may be wrong, but it’s a fascinating debate. Watching the documentary Ancient Aliens, you notice that many alleged experiments involving humans and aliens were related to the mind. Aside from technology, the mind appears to be the most significant thing aliens could have taught us, if they exist.I mean how else could Aliens show Humans how to use technology without language? They clearly told them to lie down, close their eyes and showed them something that they could understand that you do not need a communal language for.
